Fed Stays the Course; Says Economy Stabilizing

The Fed held its ground on interest rates (as expected) in a statement following the close of a two-day meeting.
There was encouraging news from the Fed that the economy was stabilizing, although investors had already priced that assessment into the market.
The Fed also noted that inflation doesn't appear to be a concern in the near future and that interest rates would likely remain low for some time.
