Where Did $350 Billion Go?

Wednesday December 24, 2008
The Administration has spent $350 billion or one-half of the amount authorized by Congress to address the financial crisis.

What has this unprecedented plunge into the private sector bought the taxpayer?

Difficult to see any result that is helping main street - I doubt the almost $2 billion in bonuses paid the people who created this mess will trickle down your way or mine.

Another bumbling attempt by political hacks has not produced anything of value for the taxpayer.

The market and the economy continue their downward slide, which points up the other major problem with the current status quo.

Federal officials have consistently underestimated the magnitude or true nature of the problem, including supposed giants we turn to for answers (Alan Greenspan, for example).

A change of leadership at Treasury and other key agencies is the only act that has a chance of bringing a fresh perspective to the problems.

There couldn’t be anyone reading this article who isn’t enraged! We (I say we because this IS a government of the people, for the people,… isn’t it?) gave away $350 billion with no expectation of accountability? Rome is burning and from our resources we bring 350 billion gallons to fight the fire, and the first two billion gallons goes to fill Nero’s hot tub? Is there any son of this country who does not feel like he (or she) was kicked in his (or her) Christmas balls?!? We’re mad as hell and we’re not gonna take it anymore!!! And the guys with the $2 billion in bonuses are snickering, “Yeah, waddya gona do bout it? Hehe!” So what do we do about it? Articles like this are great for pointing out the fire, but who is gonna tell us how to fight it? How many times will do we get kicked before we kick back?

at one time this country was run by the people. We as Americans are the government.Lets pull together and replace the incompetence that we have put incharge.Let all of we Americans stop allowing the stock market individuals give us false fears and replace them with competent Americans.Let us stop allowing large and middle business to keep us from working and bringing our United States to a divison. We the American people are the government, the greatest nation on this planet so far.People from other countries still know this to be fact.
