Take a Hard Look at Stocks Poised to Grow

Wednesday November 5, 2008
The election of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States was a historic moment by any definition.

While he may be successful in instilling a sense of optimism, he won't be able to fix our economy quickly (no one will be able to do that).

Investors saw another round of market declines Wednesday that more than wiped out previous gains on Tuesday.

The losses were not the market expressing its opinion about an Obama presidency. The markets dropped for all the same reasons they always fall: bad economic news continues to paint a gloomy picture of the future.

Until that news begins turning positive or the market senses it is turning positive, expect more rough days.

However, we are seeing some analysts suggesting it may be time to begin buying stocks, indicating they believe the bottom of the market is close.

If you have a strong stomach and a long time frame for holding stocks, take a close look at those companies that stand the best chance of flourishing when the economy returns.

Anyone who believes Obama is best for the economy, or that the markets are not responding to his election is not looking at things honestly. He will be a disater on a global scale.
