Stop Loss Orders - Cheap Insurance

If you were holding Merck stock when they pulled their wonder drug Vioxx off the market, you probably reached for some pain reliever yourself. However, if you had a stop loss order on file with your broker you may have gotten out before the stock fell too far. Stop loss orders are cheap (free) insurance every investor should consider.
